The 3rd Annual LNB South Texas
Open broke even and had 37 participants. The
organizers would like to thank Laredo National Bank for
sponsoring and hosting the event and all the participants
for coming out. IM Axel
Bachman won clear first with 5.5/6 points and $200.
Joel Sauceda and Nelly Estrada finished with
5.0, splitting the second and third place prize, or
$112.50 each. Paul Haney came in fourth with 4.5
and taking the Expert prize of $75. Freddy Gonzalez
finished tied for 4th, 5th on tie-breaks, to claim the
top "A" prize of $75.
