The Texas Chess Association, Inc., is a nonprofit
corporation, established under Section 501(c)(3) of the
IRS code, whose purpose is educational and instructional
in promoting interest in chess in the State of Texas.

$21 or $35 if postmarked
after February 3rd. Payment must be mailed and postmarked by
Saturday, February 3, 2007, in order for it to be
received on or before February 7, 2007. Incomplete
entries or submitted without payment will be charged the
late entry fee of $35. The last day to request a refund
is February 3rd. There will be no substitution of team
members. We encourage teams entries be submitted in a
spreadsheet. Entries received after February 7th will automatically receive a 1st
round ½ point bye.
No on-site registration
will be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. NON-NEGOTIABLE.
USCF memberships is required.
An online pre-registration list will be periodically updated at
http://www.bisd.us/daas/chess/2k7/feb/10/prereg.htm.
Players needing/renewing memberships have the following options:
Youth ($25.00, 19 and under) and Scholastic ($19.00, 14 and under).

Awards presentations is scheduled for Sunday,
February 11, 2007, and will start as soon as
possible after the completion of the sections' last
round.

| Prizes: |
Only one team
per school can earn a trophy per section. A TEAM MUST
CONSIST OF A MINIMUM OF TWO PLAYERS TO WIN A TEAM
TROPHY. Top four players in each section will count
toward a team points. |
| Scholarship: |
The
winner of the High School division will win a $1000.00 scholarship to
The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. (Winner must meet entrance
requirements and follow team rules).

One ½ pt bye available
for
1st
round and 0 pts for later rounds.

Refunds and Cancellations: No later than
Saturday, February 3, 2007. No Substitutions Allowed.
Forms of Payment: Cash and checks for entries and memberships.
Purchase Orders for memberships and entries ONLY if
made payable to Sharyland North Jr. High. Please DO NOT submit
payments payable to the USCF.
Rating Supplement: This event will use the
February supplemental ratings.
Concessions: Sales of food, beverages, and memorabilia such as event t-shirts will be available throughout the tournament.
